It’s Monday! What are you reading? (June 3 2013)

itsmonday“It’s Monday! What are you reading?” is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at Bookjourney to share with others what we’ve read the past week and planning to read next.

Girls in white dresses – Jennifer Close
So far so ok.

Shades of milk and honey – Mary Robinette Kowal
Now this one I’m quite enjoying.

Soul mountain – Gao Xingjian
This has been languishing on my bookshelf and I reached over the other day and picked it up. Not sure why. It’s a bit of a heavy read this one.

A leftover cha siu bao (we had dim sum Sunday lunch) and some not very good black tea (trying to finish the box!). Well at least this was what I was eating when I first started this post in the morning. Now it’s sometime after lunch, which was spaghetti and meatballs, with some juicy cantaloupe to follow. Yum.

Looking forward to:
A nap later!

What I read last week

Hotel on the corner of bitter and sweet – Jamie Ford
I wasn’t very impressed with the book but managed to finish it. Wasn’t terrible.

Black boy – Richard Wright

Fantastic read.

Reviewed last week:

A Different Sky – Meira Chand

What are you reading?

    1. Hi Dorothee, thanks for leaving a comment! I enjoy reading books set in Asia too (I’m from Singapore) and really ought to read more books from Korea! One day…

    1. Interchangeable – exactly! That was the word I was looking for when I was trying to figure out why I wasn’t really that into it.

The nap was, as always, too short! 😉

  1. Your books look good. I’m reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Forever in Blue by Ann Brashares.
