  1. A Tale for the Time Being is a fantastic book. It’s nice to see it on the longlist. I have a copy of We Need New Names so I can’t wait to read it. Now I need to race over to my library’s website and place a few books from the list on hold. Thanks for letting us know about the nominees.

  2. I’m in the queue for the Eleanor Catton and Charlotte Mendelson already and know that I will inevitably end up reading A Tale for the Time Being at some point. I hadn’t heard anything about The Lowland yet, but it sounds great. Looks like a good list, all in all.

  3. I read The Lowlands and loved it, but am having trouble deciding what to say about it in a review.
Thanks for giving us the list. I will see what I can find from it.

  4. I haven’t read any of these either, but several sound intriguing. I like the comments that I’ve seen about this year’s list so far in general (sounds really fresh), but… another reading project? *sigh*

    1. It kind of helps in my case that some of the books I’m interested in aren’t available in my library system… so no attempts to read the longlist for me.

  5. I haven’t read any of these either and I’ve only heard about a few. It seems like a daunting list right now, but maybe I will be more interested in the short list!
