“It’s Monday! What are you reading?” is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at Bookjourney to share with others what we’ve read the past week and planning to read next.
(it’s 6.18 on Sunday morning, I’m typing this on my phone while lying in bed, having gotten up 45 minutes ago to feed the baby – and three hours before that at 230. He’s been doing this 6-7 h stretch for several weeks now but since his last feed is at 8, it means I’m in bed by 930 in order to get myself a good long stretch of sleep too! I’m just looking forward to the day when I get to sleep longer! But he’s doing pretty well for a three month old.)
Consequences – E. M. Delafield
Oh Alex, what are you doing with your life???
Bangkok 8 – John Burdett
Yup I am jumping the gun and reading my Southeast Asian books now. This one is a police procedural (?) set in Bangkok.
Eating (and now it’s 14.45 while I’m finishing up this post)
A homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookie which wee reader helped me make.
Milk. Because you can’t have a cookie without milk!
Orange is the new black. Yes, still. Because it’s kind of hard to watch anything with a two plus year old roaming around.
Fiona Apple’s The Idler Wheel, which includes this song, Hot Knife.
The Orphan Master’s Son – Adam Johnson
The Queen of the Air: A True Story of Love and Tragedy at the Circus – Dean Jensen
Review to come
Five star billionaire – Tash Aw
