Top Ten Tuesday: Books on my fall TBR list

Books On My Fall TBR List

Well I’m going to interpret this as books that are coming out in the rest of 2016 that I really want to read!

Him, Me, Muhammad Ali – Randa Jarrar (short stories)

Hag-Seed – Margaret Atwood (retelling of The Tempest)

The Loved Ones – Sonya Chung (fiction)

The Princess Diarist – Carrie Fisher (memoir)

The Private Life of Mrs Sharma – Ratika Kapur (fiction, set in Delhi)

Demon Book 1 – Jason Shiga (comics)

Crosstalk – Connie Willis (SF)

Invisible Planets: Contemporary Chinese Science Fiction in Translation – Edited and trans. by Ken Liu (SF)

IQ – Joe Ide (crime, set in LA)

Words Are My Matter: Writings About Life and Books, 2000–2015, with a Journal of a Writer’s Week – Ursula K Le Guin (nonfiction)

What books are you looking forward to this fall?

  1. I have Hagseed on my giant tbr pile and I’m psyched for The Princess Diarist too!

Thanks for pointing out the Le Guin and the Willis. They are two authors I have been meaning to read for way too long. Do you have an idea of which book I should pick up first for either of them?

  2. This is a most educational post! I had no idea Connie Willis had a new book coming out and had not heard about the Le Guin either. Both have gone right onto the library wishlist.

It’s just been released but I’m looking forward to getting my hands on When in French by Lauren Collins. Also, I’m very, very excited about a new cookbook coming out: Classic German Baking by Luisa Weiss. I was lucky enough to get a Netgalley copy and have been baking from it all summer. Can’t wait to have my own copy soon! Weiss blogs at and her first book, a memoir with recipes called My Berlin Kitchen, is wonderful.
