So last weekend we…
- Attended my husband’s company dinner at the Hilton San Francisco (it took us 1.5 hours just to get there!). The food wasn’t very good. But at least there was cake. The music was very loud. And there was a lip sync battle and a dance-off between the partners and the managers that was very cringey. Also beer and wine were free.
- Put up our Christmas tree. We have an artificial tree. Perhaps it’s because living in Singapore, all we knew of Christmas trees were the artificial ones (although apparently they ship in live trees nowadays), so that’s just fine by me. But I know a lot of people are a bit appalled by artificial trees. And now I just have to find time to wrap presents.
- Met up with a friend and his girlfriend. Ever since I’ve known him (for 8 years?) he’s been single so it was nice to see him with someone, and that their so committed they just bought a house together. So hooray for him, but also a bit sad, as that house is in Southern California, so that means we won’t see him much!
- Attended a 6yo birthday, which luckily was a small one with three other families. Still, there were five boys and two girls and there was a lot of running around and noise. The boys had a blast of course. And there was cake.
Mad Men. I decided to rewatch it so that I can finally watch the last season!
