Coffee and hazelnut rolled ice cream
Bûn (dry rice vermicelli) with grilled pork
It was a very smoky Sunday when we were out and about having lunch and rolled ice cream with friends who were moving back to Singapore. It turns out that there was a big fire up north and the winds were blowing it all in out direction. So it was a smoky farewell for now – until we see them on our next visit to Singapore.
I tried making chocolate digestives this week! They’re not exactly like the store bought ones – although I followed the recipe and let it stay in the oven for a longer period they’re still softer than I’d like but they’re quite good to eat!

I’ve heard about rolled ice cream. I know there are two places which serve this but haven’t eaten so far. Looks delicious.

Well I am late to this post but I am SO impressed that you made digestive biscuits at your home. That’s amazing! Digestive biscuits are one of those things I can hardly comprehend making at home. Well done you!

Thanks! It didn’t quite taste exactly like a store bought digestive though – I’ll have to try a diff recipe to get a slightly more crisp biscuit.
