It’s Martin Luther King Jr Day in the US today so the kids don’t have school. But the fourth grader has his California missions presentation on Wednesday so he’s going to have to spend some time preparing for that.
Some things from last week.
Galbi rice bowl (with kimchi fried rice), macaroni salad
Made some sourdough bread
And laksa.

Your sourdoughs look so beautifully shaped.
I like the macaroni salad with rice, would you call that fusion food?

Thanks!
As for the macaroni salad, well, this place calls itself Korean-Japanese, so maybe? But macaroni salad is also a big thing with the Hawaiian-style eateries here or at least the one we order from. It’s usually a type of meat plus some steamed vegetables, then rice and a macaroni salad. And their macaroni salad is so delicious!

That sourdough looks amazing!
I loved Eat Joy, one of my favorites from 2019. I still think about stories from it all the time.
