It was my birthday weekend and we went out to a seafood restaurant in San Jose for lunch.
All in all, a very lovely birthday!
Other things last week, I made crispy pork belly for the first time. Used this recipe from Hot Thai Kitchen.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.
My birthday is Monday 🙂 Happy birthday (late!). Your books look interesting. Happy reading!

It’s so great that your kids like seafood. So Chinese! I was discussing Spanish holidays with my Cantonese teacher and she thought her kids would like paella. Where my kids aren’t that keen on seafood, I think of that as their English side coming through.

I was surprised actually that my kids love shellfish. But my older one doesn’t eat prawns….I don’t really get that part…

Happy birthday! The food looks amazing, and I love the idea of assorted cakes instead of just one type of cake! I keep forgetting to go on to the book that comes after Parable of the Sower; by now, I should probably reread Parable of the Sower before I do.
