It’s Monday (February 14, 2022)

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Some things last week:

We ordered some dumplings! The rolls are green onion pancakes that are wrapped around slices of beef. There’s also pan-fried soup dumplings (shengjianbao) and “snowflake” gyoza.
The husband’s office had a virtual happy hour the other day and they got to put in an order for some food too. So he picked up some Korean fried chicken. The one on the left has this slightly sweet cheddar powder all over that’s so delicious. The other is just a regular crispy chicken. It’s served with pickled radish and a kind of coleslaw.

Daughter of the Moon Goddess – Sue Lynn Tan

I adore this book and don’t want it to end!

Well, we watched the Super Bowl last night. Or rather, I sat there and read or crocheted while the rest watched. The kids decided that while their favorite 49ers weren’t in the game, they would support the Rams because they’re another California team 😛

A Nearly Normal Family  – M.T. Edvardsson

Huda F Are You? – Huda Fahmy

Three Bedrooms In Manhattan – Georges Simenon

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date

  1. We have a new Chinese family running our fish and chip shop and they have brought in pickles and their fried chicken looks similar. No cheddar yet though. I’ve never seen that before.
