Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Sharlene from Real Life Reading that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.
What I got from the library this week:

Ghost Forest – Pik-Shuen Fung
This book about an “astronaut” father sounded interesting – the father stays in Hong Kong for work while the family migrates to Canada.

Almond – Sohn Won-pyung
Yunjae was born with a brain condition called Alexithymia that makes it hard for him to feel emotions like fear or anger. This book is translated from Korean.

A Stitch in Time – Kelley Armstrong
A time-traveling romance set in a haunted house? Sounds fun. Looks like there are a few books in this series, with the third one to come out later this year.
Excited to see Ghost Forest here! Fung went to my small school, though we were in different years, and I’ve seen lots of people reading this locally. Astronaut dads (and occasionally moms) based in Hong Kong were very, very common in Vancouver when we were growing up.
