Library Loot (June 22 to 28)

badge-4

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Sharlene from Real Life Reading that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.

Happy Library Loot Day! What did you get from your library this week? Link-up below or let us know in the comments!

What I got from the library this week:

Siren Queen – Nghi Vo

It sounds like this book has to do with Hollywood, a Chinese actress, and… magic?

Four Treasures of the Sky – Jenny Tinghui Zhang

A young girl is kidnapped and sent to America, where she’s forced to work in a brothel. This is America in the 1880s and the Chinese Exclusion Act has just been signed into law.

The Twin – Gerbrand Bakker

A story set in the bleak Dutch countryside, where a man has to return to his family farm after his twin dies.
