It’s Monday (May 8, 2023)

Some things last week:

The kids have been playing in a volleyball league since last month and last weekend, they had their first games. At first, we weren’t sure if it was going to be on as it was raining (surprisingly) where we were. The game site was a half hour drive away, and luckily, it wasn’t raining there, although it was windy and cold. The kids had fun and their teams won some games.

Some reading for AAPI month

Currently…

Reading:

Chlorine – Jade Song

Watching:

Succession season 2

Eating and Drinking:

I had a slice of walnut bread, toasted. Also a mug of tea.

Cooking:

Today, we have some dimsum leftovers from yesterday. But I picked up some salmon from Costco, so I’ll do a miso-soy sauce marinade and panfry it. Eat with some asparagus and rice, maybe.

Last week:

I read:

Romantic Comedy – Curtis Sittenfeld

The Hookup Plan – Farrah Rochon

Always the Almost – Edward Underhill

I posted:

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date

  1. It’s great that your kids are doing sports. I thought volleyball was an indoor game? It is not popular in the UK, some school sports halls don’t even have the set up for the nets (I was told they have to be strongly anchored in case someone smashes a ball down from close up).

    1. Yeah it’s usually played indoors but there are very few indoor sports places here and it’s probably easier to book the soccer fields at the park and set up nets. That way it makes it affordable as it was under $200 for the 2 mont session. It’s also coached by parent volunteers.
